Enterprising Transition Years.

It just shows you how transition year can benefit students when you take a walk around the KH TY Enterprise Exhibition. 

These projects give students the opportunity to explore and demonstrate new skills and talents.

And ... there was no shortage of "enterprise" on display. TY students showing creativity, opportunity seeking and project delivery.  It  is inspiring and very encouraging to see.

Students showed how they would develop and improve family businesses. They created new opportunities by exploiting consumer issues with novel devices. Others took skills and knowledge already acquired in KH and developed remarkable products and sourced great solutions.

The freshness of thought and no barriers attitude demonstrated by the projects is a lesson to all us seasoned entrepreneurs. 

Hockey Skills And Drills

A complete training manual developed from scratch by Danielle O'Leary is an extremely credible and well thought out hockey training manual  specifically developed for coaches and parents. This is a remarkable piece of work that challanges existing training manuals on the market.

Showing adept consumer insight Odhran Mullan, Ian Spillane and Keith Bell spotted an opportunity and have exploited it with this novel waterproof shower timer. You've 5 minutes before the timer beeps and your times up.

The team sourced the product themselves and have demonstrated one of the key factors in developing a successful business - "The Graft"  - by getting out there and selling units door to door. It doesn't end there, the team have secured meetings with corporate entities to promote their product.
